About Training

Stuck Pipe Prevention and Fishing Operations

Pipe sticking is one of the most critical problems in drilling operations.

This course is designed to introduce a comprehensive overview of stuck pipe problems, problem prevention as well as pipe fishing operations when the problem happens. Stuck pipe prevention is a cost-effective approach for enhancing operations performance and minimizing the nonproductive time of rigs. Early detection of the problem, which will be one of the major topics of this course will always contribute drastically to eliminating the problem before starting.

Stuck pipe is currently one of the most frequent causes of non-productive time and should not be considered as an inevitable drilling hazard. This short course develops an understanding of how stuck pipe prevention can be managed through improved well design and construction processes.

The training will include a full explanation of the modules with detailed practical information along with video clips for actual field cases. It also includes group discussions and daily quizzes to keep the information live. Moreover, Pre & Post course tests will be conducted to measure the trend of the learning process.
