Peter Cockcroft

Biography

Peter Cockcroft brings the unique combination of managing successful new business identification, development, as well as the implementation of international energy projects over the past thirty years.

Considered an expert on the energy sector, he is a confidante to various Ministers and has advised different Heads of State in the Asian Region.

His international experience is extensive - he has been a resident country manager in six different countries for several oil and gas companies, ranging from majors to independents. He has also worked for the National Oil Companies of Indonesia and Korea.

During the past 20 years, he has been directly in charge of various commercially successful new business initiatives, including oil discoveries in Thailand and Philippines, oilfield developments in Indonesia, a new gas field/power plant project in Indonesia, commercializing gas fields in Pakistan and unconventional gas projects in Australia, Indonesia and France.

Peter has been presenting courses reserves and valuation courses for 26 years and has taught other courses for various organizations such as AAPG and Edinburgh Business School
